This is half of a PowerPoint I show in my AFRS 139: The African American Experience: Black Men and the Search for Self-Liberation course. It frames the concepts of both Black Masculinism and Anti-Black Misandry, giving detail and examples for each so they can be used to analyze and explain the experiences of many Black men. More to the point, these are the types of gender concepts non-feminist Black men have largely been excluded from producing in the academy.

powerful and well written.
